The Engineer Representative for the second Niger Bridge, Mr Oluwaseyi Martins says the facility has been vandalised by few weeks after inauguration.
Mr. Matins who made this known on Wednesday, condemned the removal of the road fittings from the bridge, saying such national asset should be protected and guarded jealously by everyone.
He also said the Organisation has written to all the security agencies in Anambra and Delta States, Directorate of State Security and the Nigerian Army, to extend their surveillance and security operations on the Bridge to avert repeat of the incident.
The 1.6-kilometer 2nd Niger Bridge was inaugurated by former President Muhammadu Buhari on May 23, 2023
The Bridge connects Asaba in Delta State and Onitsha in Anambra
