Banditry: Six Killed In Kadamutsawa Village of Zamfara

Six persons were killed, while four others sustained various degree of injuries when bandits invaded Kadamutsawa village under Kotorkoshi District, in Bungudu local government area of Zamfara State.

The Zamfara State Police Command’s Public Relation Officer ASP Yazid Abubakar confirmed this to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.

Yazid said they received an information from the District Head of kotorkoshi, Alhaji Bello Umar which revealed that, a large number of unidentified armed men suspected to be local armed volunteer group invaded the village and started shooting.

According to him, this led to the death of six persons with four others sustaining injuries.

He added that the injured victims were taken to hospital for medical attention , while one of the injured victims died while receiving treatment.

He appealed to the relatives of the affected victims to continue to exercise patience and allow the authorities to handle the situation.

Similarly, the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bunu assured that, the spate of killings in Zamfara state would be curbed as the federal government is determined and working assiduously to restore peace in every part of the country.
