100 Medical Doctors, from Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), and other hospitals in kano, would undergo training on basic skills in the management of priapism.

This was contained in a statement, signed by the Deputy Director Information and Public Relations unit AKTH, Hauwa Muhammad Abdullahi,and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

The statement explained that, the Chairman Local Organizing Committee of the International Workshop, Professor Sani Ali Aji, noted that, the workshop was organized by Vanderbilt University medical Nashville United States, in collaboration with the College of Health Sciences of Bayero University Kano (BUK).

Professor Sani, who doubles as a Consultant Surgeon and Urologist in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital highlighted that, Priapism is a Urological problem that affects men, which requires medical attention, as such the need for medical doctors to acquire training on the basic Skills, to address the problem becomes necessary.

While commanding the resource person from Baltimore United States ,he urged the participants to use of the opportunity to learn for the benefit of their people.
