Eid El Kabir : Governor Fintiri Tasks Nigerians On Selflessness, Mutual Love

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has extended warm greetings and felicitations to all the Muslims in the state, on the occasion of Eid El Kabir.


He made this known at the central Eid ground Yola, during the Eid prayer.


Governor Ahmadu Fintiri said, Eid El Kabir also known as the festival of sacrifices, is a significant celebration in Islam, as it reminds faithfuls of the importance of selflessness, sacrifices, kindness and forgiveness.


The governor acknowledged the profound spiritual significance of the occasion, and acknowledged the immense contributions of the Muslims ummah in promoting peace, unity and progress in the state.


He urged the entire Muslims in the state to improve their commitment and sacrifice for the sustainance of peace, unity and harmonious coexistence.


In his remarks. the chief Imam of the Modibbo Adama central Mosque Yola, Khadi Ahmadu Bobboi, in his sermon after the two Raka’at of Eid El Kabir prayer, urged Muslims to slaughter healthy animals in accordance with the teachings of the Holy prophet Muhammad (SAW).


The chief Imam who offered special prayers for peace and stability of the nation, also implored Muslims to use the period to renew their faith in God .


Prominent dignitaries at the Modibbo Adama central Mosque Yola for the Eid El Kabir prayer included former vice president Atiku Abubakar, the Secretary to the state government , Auwal Tukur and other top government officials.
