Kano Gov’t Seeks Support Of Corporate Organizations on CSR

Kano State newly appointed Commissioner of Education, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa has expressed the need for Corporate Organizations operating in the state to embrace the habit of excersizing Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) especially in the education sector.

Hon. Haruna Doguwa was speaking during his formal assumption to office as commissioner of education in Kano.

He noted that the involvement of such corporate bodies through the discharge of CSR will go along way in assisting the development of education in the state.

The commissioner observed that the way and manner Private Schools are operating in the state need to be giving a second thought with a view to correcting abnomalities inherent in the system.

Alhaji Haruna Doguwa who was giving a befitting reception at the ministry, appealed to the staff to be more committed and hardworking for greater achievement of promoting the education sector within the time of his stewardship.

He maitained that the present administration of the state has the determination of doing all what it takes in prioritizing education, which is the bed rock of societal development.

Earlier in a welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Malam Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi gave the assurance that both the management and other staff of the ministry will support and corporate with the new leadership.
