Kaduna State Police Command has recovered about 600 pieces of railway slippers removed by vandals at Sanzwan Community, Zonkwa Zango Kataf Local Government Area of the State.

A statement signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Mohammed Jalige says the command received credible intelligence report last week Thursday that an unspecified number of unknown persons came to the area in an articulated vehicle and vandalized the railway slippers.

It says on receipts of the information, the Police quickly mobilized to the scene of the crime while the suspects fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle with the items.

It says no arrest was made but the vehicle was immediately impounded and the exhibits therein recovered.

The statement says two additional trucks fully loaded with railway slippers had equally been recovered as the Police intensifies efforts to arrest fleeing suspects which will be followed by investigation.

The statement quotes the State Commissioner of Police CP Musa Yusuf Garba who commended the gallant personnel for halting the vandals activities while charging the public to always make credible information to the Police available on time.
