Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has pledge to pay two months outstanding salaries owed to workers of the State before the commencement of Eid Kabir celebrations.

This is contained in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Broadcast Media, Press and Public Affairs, Mustafa Jafaru Kaura in Gusau, the state capital.

The Governor out of his magnanimity, has in different fora pledged to source funds to pay the State workers their outstanding salary of two months owned by the immediate past Administration.

With this development, the Governor has succeeded in putting smiles on the faces of the State workers and assured them better, prompt and timely payment of salary and other entitlements.

According to the statement, the June salary and pension arrears of both State and Local Government are in the pipeline so as to ensure swift payment as at when due.

It also solicits support, cooperation and prayers from the good people of the state and other well wishers for peace and stability to prevail in the State and the country in general.
