Speaker House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, has tasked the staff of his office to brace up and renew their energy for the task ahead of them.
He made the call during a maiden meeting with all the staff in his office at the National Assembly complex Abuja.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Malam Musa Abdullahi Kirshi, says the Speaker who solicited the support and cooperation of the staff assured that his doors will remain open for all.
Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, described the meeting as historic since his emergence as Speaker of the 10th Assembly, emphasizing that supporting him is supporting the institution and by extension the country at large.
He thanked the Clerk of the House for his untiring support, the Director and all that contributed through out the journey to the promise land.
Earlier, Clerk to the House of representatives Dr. Yahya Dan-Zaria, reminded staff of the Speaker’s Office on the need to put their heads together and work as a team for the success of the Number four Citizen.
Also speaking, head of secretariat in the Speaker’s Office, Hajiya Nana Asein, also a Director in the National Assembly, congratulated the Speaker on his victory and promised to work with him to achieve his mandate.
She said there were different units in the Speaker’s Office, all of which work together harmoniously for the success of the Speaker and the institution as a whole.
