Combating Insecurity In Plateau State A Priority – Senator Bali

Senator representing Plateau South at the National Assembly , Air Vice Marshall Napoleon Binkap Bali – RTD , has promised to utilize every resource within his power to combat the insecurity bedeviling the state.

He made the statement while addressing Newsmen in Abuja.

Senator Napoleon Bali promised to work closely with the Governor of Plateau state Mr. Caleb Mutfwang and other stakeholders to address issues of insecurity ravaging the state , adding that government must be proactive in the fight against all forms of insecurity.

He emphasised that no meaningful development can be achieved without security.

“There is need for more troops on ground , these criminal elements are not spirits so we can take the fight to the bandits in the forests”

Senator Bali decried the level of poverty in the country , saying that the executive arm of government alone cannot solve the problem .

He disclosed that shortly after his emergence , he introduced a scheme to empower women and youth , and over three hundred of them have benefited in different petty businesses .

“I am into an agreement with a bank at the moment to guarantee loans for petty traders , also our primary responsibility at the national assembly is to make laws that will improve on the livelihood of the people and I believe we’re up to the task”.

The Senator expressed hope that the present administration will come up with policies that will bring about the much needed development in all spheres .
