NASFAT Urges Newly Sworn in Excos To Be Good Ambassadors Of Islam

Nasrul Lahi-L-Fatih Society NASFAT has urged its members to live an exemplary life by portraying the beauty and values of the lslam religion in all their conducts.

The call was made during the inaugural ceremony of 21 executive members of NASFAT Doka Branch held in Kaduna.

National officers from NASFAT headquarter, Vice President 2, Prof. Abdulrafiu Adegbola and Desk Officer, Alhaji Salman Abiola Mogboyin were on ground to conduct the exercise.

In his address, the VP2 who represented the President, NASFAT worldwide, Alhaji Niyi Yusuf advised the newly inaugurated executive members to be good ambassadors of NASFAT by exhibiting good conduct at all times.

” Leadership entails a lot of sacrifices as such be ready for the task ahead, he stressed”.

The President challenged the executives to uphold the ‘HELD’ principles of NASFAT which promotes health of members, make provision for empowerment, improves livelihood of members including those in the community through its Zakkat programme.

He commended the efforts of the Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Saheed Popoola Gambari, all the executives and members in making the dream realizable.

NASFAT he informed has over 359 locations across the globe while charging that more branches be established as that has been NASFAT’s call.

The Guest Lecturer, Imam Sharafudeen Abdulsalam Aliagan, NASFAT Zonal Missioner, FCT, Abuja in his lecture, titled, “Developing Enlightened Muslim Ummah Through Taking NASFAT To Doorsteps”
said, to be able take NASFAT to doorsteps, certain qualities are required.

“There should be leadership by example.
A leader must have the fear of Allah. Must be guided by the Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet SAW”.

“He must also be one who projects Islam in appearance and character. He must be knowledgeable. (both lslamic/western education) Imam Aliagan enjoined every Muslim to seek for knowledge. Without knowledge taking NASFAT to doorsteps will be more or less a fruitless exercise. He said”.

“Dawa’ah entails knowledge of your religion lslam”. All Muslims not just the leaders should seek for knowledge irrespective of sex”.

“How do you serve Allah if you don’t know Allah? So you must search for knowledge. Allah says, (in the Quran) you must know Me before you can worship Me”.

The erudite scholar also explained that taking NASFAT to doorsteps will entail lots of humanitarian services.

He urged the society to step up its humanitarian activities by enhancing its empowerment programme.

“If you want to take NASFAT to all doorsteps, we need empowerment. Empowering the people in need is very necessary.”

He noted that women have strategic role to play in taking NASFAT to doorsteps. Not only should they be enlightened about the religion Islam but also be seen as ambassadors of peace and good conduct.

“NASFAT, being a religious organization with repute, our actions should always reflect the teachings of the Quran and Hadith (practice) of the Holy Prophet SAW.

“You don’t need to speak, it should be seen in the way you walk, the way you dress, the way you eat, infact, your overall conduct as a person can help take NASFAT to doorsteps.

Speaking, the immediate past Commissioner Human Services and Social Development, Kaduna State, hajiya Hafsat Baba described NASFAT as an organized society, role model which should be emulated.

She commended their activities particularly that of empowerment which she said has imparted positively on the lives of members of the community.

“Empowering people with knowledge, empowering people economically, empowering people socially, This has help in reducing vices in the society”

Congratulating the executive, she charged them to be responsive in the discharge of their duties, abide by the principles and constitution of NASFAT saying, they have enormous task ahead of them.

“There is need for team work to foster unity. She added”.

“It is always good to be unified because once we are in unity, everything will come easy”.

In their separate contributions, the Chairman of the occasion, Alh Abubakar Aliyu Chairman, Visible Works Ventures Ltd. and Bunun Zazzau (Doka District Head) Alhaji Bala Muhammed Tijani both commended NASFAT for their efforts in striving in the course of Allah.

explained that NASFAT has achieved another milestone with the inauguration of a new branch. Not only will it ease the mobility of members but will also help in spreading the activities of NASFAT.

National Executive Council member Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf who shared same view called for more youth representation in programmes and the need for a succession plan.

“There must be a succession plan. We must groom our youth and let’s abide by the principles of cooperate governance”.

In his own contributions, Zonal Missioner, Imam Marooph Muh’d Raji promised together with members of missionary board to strategize towards enhancing the humanitarian activities.

As for NASFAT Kaduna Branch’s Chairman, Alhaji AbdulAkeem Adeniji, the sky will be the limit in taking NASFAT to more doorsteps, Insha Allah.

Some of the executive members of NASFAT, present, the National Elder Council Chairman, Alhaji Inuwa Bello, Former Chairman, Alhaji Kazeem Adesanya Adekunle, a one time NASFAT branch Chairman, Alhaji Dangoje, Zonal executive Afiz Abimboka Public Relation Secretary, Alhaji Adulwaheed Amosa all spoke on taking NASFAT to greater heights.

Earlier during the induction exercise, the executives were taken through the dos and don’ts as contained in NASFAT constitution and code of conduct.

The Desk Officer Alhaji Salman Abiola Mogboyin who gave a run down of NASFAT’s constitution/code of conduct enjoined them to follow the rules and regulations to the letter as that will help in the discharge of their duties.

“As a people, it is because most of us don’t do the right thing, that is why things don’t work out for us. So, as an executive of NASFAT once you see the right thing to do, please do it.

Alhaji Salman also stressed on good leadership as penecea to achieving greatness. He stressed on the efficacy of prayer in reaching one’s goal.

“We in NASFAT, don’t believe in anything but prayers, so be very prayerful. Strive for success in order to bring positive change.

“Allah does not change the condition of a community until people change what is in their hearts.” Quoting the Quran.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the symbolic stick and flag.

While VP2 worldwide, Prof. Abdulrafiu Adegbola on behalf of NASFAT President Worldwide, Alhaji Niyi Yusuf presented the stick to Chairman, Doka Branch, NASFAT Kaduna, Hon. Musbau Adepoju, the Zonal Women Leader, Hajiya Kudirat Adebisi on behalf of National Women Leader, Hajiya Suweba Bola Kupolati presented the flag to Women Affairs Secretary, NASFAT Doka Branch Hajiya Bashira Seidu.
With that came the declaration and pronouncement of NASFAT Doka Branch as full fleshed registered NASFAT Worldwide.

Those in attendance to witness the symbolic event, among were members of various Muslim organizations like, Ansarudeen society, Representative of Muslim Council Kaduna, Nawarudeen society, representative of Offa mosque, NASFAT Kaduna branch, Women management members, NASFAT members and well wishers who came from far and near.
