The Wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasir Idris, has called on traditional institutions in the state to support her programmes on girl-child education with ideas and advice that will ensure success of the programme.

Hajiya Nasir Idris, made the call at the Emir of Gwandu’s palace in Birnin Kebbi when she paid him a courtesy visit.

She explained that, under the administration of Comrade Nasir Idris, she is set to prioritize education, specifically focusing on empowering the girl child education.

The Wife of the Governor said, her position as the wife of the Governor and her experience would enable her to advocate for some policies, launch initiatives, and engage communities to ensure every girl Child in the state have access to quality education to foster social progress and gender equality.

While describing the role of traditional rulers as fathers to all in any administration, urged them and the people of the state to support her programmes.

In a remark, the Emir of Gwandu, Dr Iliyasu Bashar, appreciated the wife of the governor and her entourage for the visit.

While commending her for the programme, described education of children both boys and girls as a bed rock of development of every society and assured her support and cooperation of the traditional rulers.
