Fire Service Sensitises Pupils On Fire Safety, Prevention In Zaria

Federal Fire Service Zone B Zaria Area Command has reiterated its determination to educated public on Fire safety and prevention.

The Area Command embarked on sensitization to both public and private schools to educate the school’s pupils on ways of reducing loss of life and property.

In a keynote address at the occasion, the Head of Training and Development of the Command, U.D Adamu informed the gathering that the Service would collaborate with schools in the community to bring the desired change.

He charge the students to pay attention to gain the skills and experiences.

Adamu explained that the Community Based Fire Safety outreach of the Zone had sensitised the Students of Albaniy Science Academy, Zaria on fire safety awareness campaign to prepare the future leaders understand the does and dont’s of fire safety in order to avert the occurrence of fire outbreak and likely hazards that may cause potential fire risk.

He added that the event consisted series of lectures, basic first aid life support, and a demonstration of various fire fighting equipment.

Speaking, the Principal of Albany School Mallam Abdulsalam Ibrahim, commended the efforts of Area Commanding officer for choosing the school to host the gathering.

He reiterated that the management of the school would invite the officers to come back again for another sensitization program.

Some of the students asked questions for clarifications and also extended their appreciations for the lessons and skill demonstrations taught during the occasion.
