The Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC has condemned in strong terms the alleged plot for an Interim government in the Country.

IPAC chairman, Alhaji Yagbaji Sani stated this in Abuja at the end of the Council’s General Assembly Meeting.

He called on the Department of State Service, DSS to name the alleged plotters, arrest and prosecute them in accordance with the law, to serve as a deterrent to others.

Alhaji Sani explained that the Council had repeatedly urged all aggrieved political parties, their candidates and supporters to eschew violence in all its ramifications and seek redress in court for perceived irregularities in the conduct of the 2023 General Election.

” IPAC is urging the Judiciary to dispense justice without fear or favour as the last hope of all aggrieved persons. That is the only way to assuage the anger in the land and maintain the sanctity of the ballot boxes”

Alhaji Sani also lauded Professor Nnennaya Nwannaya Oti, the INEC’s Returning Officer in the just concluded Governorship and State House of Assembly elections held on the 18th March, in Abia State for her exemplary conduct during the exercise.

The Inter Party Advisory Council chairman, Alhaji Yagbaji, added that IPAC, as an umbrella body of all registered political parties, would continue to stand against anti-democratic forces in what ever guise.
