Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, has promised that no job will be lost when the concessioning of four international airports takes effect.

The airports which includes, Abuja, lagos, Kano and porthacourt will be run by private investors but owned by government.

The Aviation minister who made the statement at a stakeholders forum in Abuja said negotiation with preferred bidders on the concessioning deal was on with approval of the Full Business Case by the Federal Executive Council still being awaited.

He noted that the National Carrier, Air Nigeria, will become operational before May 29 as negotiations with, Ethiopian Airlines, the preferred bidders and the Federal Government was on going.

Senator Hadi Sirika said the majority of the aviation road map designed at the wake of this administration had reached 90 percent implemented and prayed that the tempo would be sustained by subsequent administrations.

The aviation road map drawn in 2016 to revamp the sector and profit from the enormous benefits therein has seen among other achievements, the Civil aviation act, improved business enviroment for operators, training and hiring of Nigerian pilots and the development of Cargo/Agro-Allied Airport Terminals.
