Residents of Kaduna have expressed shock and relief as the state experienced it’s first rain

Rainfall in Kaduna is usually expected around April, but the rain in March came as a surprise to many.

It also brought relief to residents, who had been experiencing hot weather for some time.

The rain, which started early hours of Tuesday morning at about 4.30am lasted for about 15minutes.

A resident of kabala Costain, Hajiya Zainab Isa said, “It was quite a shock to me when I woke up around after 4am to hear light rain in March. I pray this is a sign of good things to come.”

According to her, “The rain cooled the town and enabled residents to sleep better before time for Subhi prayers.”

She however advised farmers not to plant their crops but wait till the raining season commences properly.

Another resident, Tunde Babalola described the rain as a welcome development and a great relief.

He thanked God for the rain, describing it as a huge blessing and called on residents to see the rain as a sign for brotherly love and harmony.
