A women was attacked at a polling unit in Tarauni local government area for raising up her ballot paper after voting.
Reports indicate that, the woman name withheld was approached by party agents soliciting for her vote, where she promised to vote for their party.
Shortly after voting the woman raised the billot paper for confirmation, which angered others and immediately attacked her.
However, the quick intervention of security agencies calmed the situation where the woman was whisked away.
In another development, Kano state deputy governor Dr. Nasiru Yusif Gawuna casts his vote at 9:40 am at his polling, Gidan Nasiru Ahli 041 Nasarawa local government area.
Radio Nigeria reports that, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna is one of the gubernatorial aspirants in the state.
