Ahead of Saturday’s Governorship and State House of Assembly elections, groups under the auspices of Southern Kaduna Youth and Students Forum, SKYSFORM and Southern Kaduna People’s Union, SOKAPU Youth Wing has endorsed the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate Senator Uba Sani as their preferred candidate in Kaduna state.
The endorsement according to them followed the proven record of the Uba Sani at the National Assembly, as well as his ability in taking objective and independent decisions for the betterment of his people.
Leader of the group, Ernest Maidawa who disclosed this in a joint press conference pointed out that the decision followed the resolution made at the Congress ,where the groups unanimously agreed through a communique that the APC flag bearer has the capacity to transform Kaduna state if given the opportunity at the polls.
The youth group was optimistic that Senator Uba Sani if elected, would implement policies and programmes that have direct bearings on the people and pledged to mobilize southern Kaduna youths via their wards and local governments structures to massively turn out and vote for him.
On the issue of muslim -muslim ticket, the group acknowledged that every political party is free to adopt any political strategy in a quest to acquire power, as they condemned in totality any attempt to exploit their faith and religious differences in the name of politics, and expressed readiness to work towards promoting peace and unity of the state and beyond.
