Kaduna State Police Command has convened a state wide meeting with all strategic officers of the command , and charged them with responsibility of ensuring strict adherence to rules of engagement , for successful conduct of the forth coming Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.
The Police Commissioner on election duty in the state, CP Sunday Babaji stated this while briefing newsmen on preparation for a hitch free election throughout the length and breadth of Kaduna State.
He warned that any group of hoodlums planning to undermine the election , must steer clear to avoid severe consequences as the security forces were ready to deal decisively with law breakers no matter their position in the society.
CP Sunday Babaji therefore appealed to all residents of voting age to come out on Saturday and cast their votes to candidate of their choice, without any fear of intimidation, promising to provide adequate security to them.
According to him, officers and men of the Nigeria Police that attended the election preparation briefing include Deputy Commissioners of Police, Area Commanders, DPOs, HODs and all other police stakeholders across the state to strategies on the need to have credible, fair and safe election.
