Jigawa State Government has commenced the drilling of handpumps to provide portable water at various Fulani settlements across the state.

The State Chairman, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Umar Kabiru Dubantu disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.

According to him, Governor Badaru Abubakar promised to provide hand pumps in all the Fulani settlements in the state for animal consumption and domestic uses.

Umar Kabiru Dubantu said the Jigawa government had constructed 370 classrooms at various nomadic schools as well as 270 Islamic centers for nomads across the state.

He explained that the association had documented 115 Fulanis with a degree and NCE qualifications as well as 100 others with Health professional qualifications.

Dubantu further said that the association in collaboration with the state government had designed to conduct a census of Fulani communities in Jigawa state.
