The Labour Party has raised alarm over threats on some of its leaders and party candidates across the country.

National Secretary of the Party Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Farouk raised the alarm while briefing newsmen in Kaduna.

Alhaji Umar Farouk who alleged that the threats are coming from opposition parties who are also using falsehoods , with claims that the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Kaduna state has collapsed his campaign structure for another party.

He lamented that there were a lot of infractions in the recently concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections , but appealed to the party members to remain calm and be law abiding as the presidential candidate has taken steps to reclaim his mandate for the party.

The National Secretary maintained that the party was gathering evidence to commence court proceedings in favour of some national assembly contestants , especially in Southern Kaduna who he claimed were rigged out.

Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Farouk said the oarty was out to salvage the country from hunger, insecurity, poverty and unemployment , urging other opposition political parties to join them instead of calling on Labour to collapse its structure.
