Kaduna state gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Mallam Isa Mohammed Ashiru has stressed the need for a unified approach toward the gubernatorial elections.

Mr. Isa Mohammed Ashiru stated this in his congratulatory message to the people of Kaduna state for conducting themselves peacefully during the February 25th Presidential and National Assembly elections.

He applauded them for shunning voters apathy and turning out massively to vote, despite the scarcity of cash, fuel, and other challenges associated with the voting processes.

The PDP gubernatorial candidate pointed out that, their patriotic sacrifice was a pointer that exhibited their quest toward having qualified and genuine leaders, and a demonstration of faith in the democratic process of the country.

He explained that the just concluded elections have been won and lost but called on winners to embrace all regardless of party affiliation for democratic growth, noting that loosing an election affords one an opportunity to try again.

Isa Ashiru called on the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to critically analyze and note areas requiring improvement in the just concluded elections, so as to effect improvements in the coming elections to avoid further re – occurrence.
