Police Commence Mop Up Operations For General Elections

Zamfara State Police Commissioner, CP Kolo Yusuf has Personally Led a Police Tactical Operatives To Gusau – Tsafe – Yankara Highway, in his bid to rid the state of criminalities.

The command’s Public relations officer SP Mohammed shehu stated this in a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau the state capital

According to the statement, the Zamfara State Police Command under the leadership of CP Kolo Yusuf, in conjunction with security agencies and INEC have continued to strategies on how to beef up security in all the nooks and crannies of the state before, during and after the 2023 general elections.

It noted that, as part of the strategies, a mop up operation has commenced, as Commissioner of Police led police tactical operatives to Kotorkoshi – Yandoto – Tsafe axis to fish out criminals in their hideouts.

The CP also assured the general public especially people of Zamfara state that, security agencies and other stakeholders recognised to play a role in the elections are jointly working in synergy to ensure smooth conduct of the elections.

The Commissioner of Police also directed Area Commanders and Divisional Police officers (DPOs) to adopt same initiatives in their respective jurisdictions, and call on general public to continue to partner with the Police and other security agencies to make the state conducive for free, fair and credible elections.
