KWSG Calls For Synergy Among Airlines Operator’s

Kwara State Government has advocated for synergy among airlines operators, regulator and stakeholders to improve on the present state of the aviation industry in Nigeria.

Governor AbdulRahmah AbdulRazaq stated this at the opening of the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents, LAAC annual training conference at the International Aviation College, IAC, Ilorin.

Represented by the Commissioner Tertiary Education, Dr Afeez Alabi,the governor said, though the industry is capital intensive, but that it is a major booster to the economy of the nation.

He said the current situation is not impressive .

AbdulRazq said the college has acquired some equipment and also in discussions with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA to ensure that the college is positioned in the right place in the industry.

In his remark the Director General, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu represented by the Director, Human Resources and Administration, Alhaji Adamu Wakil, urged the media, to do more in projecting the sector in a positive light and avoid sensationalism.

He urged the participants at the training to uphold at all times the ethical principles of journalism.
In his address Acting rector of the International Aviation College ,Ilorin, Captain Yakubu Okadahi said, since the inception of the college, it has graduated 300 pilots while many are currently undergoing training at the .

In his opening remark the Chairman League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents ( LAAC), Mr. Olusegun Koiki called on the management of the college to tighten their seatbelt and make the college competitive.
