The Kano State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has sealed three illegal oil dump sites and arrested 19 suspects in the state.

The NSCDC State Commandant, Mr Adamu Idris-Zakari, disclose this while briefing newsmen shortly after an operation in Kano.

He maintained that the Corps under the leadership of the Commandant General Dr Ahmed Abubakar-Audi, established a Special Intelligence Squad in its fight against oil bunkering and economic sabotage.

.“The suspects were arrested by the team based on intelligence report and discovered three oil dump sites which are hazardous to the community.”

Commandant Adamu Zakari explained that one of the discovered oil dump site recently gut fire which caused serious hazard to the inhabitant of that area.

He noted that the sealed illegal oil dump sites included Hotoro Tsamiyar mashaya and two at Hotoro near mega station, kwanar yashi.

Adamu Zakari advised the public to always provide the Corps with prompt information on illegal oil dump sites for their safety.
