Some communities in kargi district at Kubau local government area of Kaduna state have threatened to boycott the forthcoming general elections.

Radio Nigeria visited the areas and spoke with some eligible voters who expressed dismay over the inability of political officeholders to fulfill campaign promises to their communities.

They argued that communities like Sasama, Gadas, kutunku, Fan Gani, and Gurjiya, among others, were left behind in terms of the provision of basic social amenities.

The investigation also revealed that there were only two blocks in some primary schools constructed since 1976 in those communities which had become dilapidated.

speaking to Radio Nigeria, the chairman of the Gadas Development Forum Adamu Dauda stressed the need for people in the areas not to take the law into their hands or intimidate any Parsons during political campaigns

Adamu Dauda called on the three levels of government to intensify efforts towards reducing suffering despite their communities’ efforts of providing food commodities across the local government area.

Some eligible voters who spoke with our correspondent promised to boycott the general election, and polio immunization, among others in the area.

The Investigation notes that these communities are living in peace and unity among both Muslims and Christian faithful, and were largely dependent on farming activities to Carter for their need.

Efforts to reach the state House of Assembly member representing the area, Shehu Yunusa and Kubau local government council chairman Bashir Suleiman Zuntu proved abortive.
