Kaduna State University is developing a 5-year Strategic Plan in its bid to reposition the institution to ensure improved academic standards, and global competativeness in the areas of education.
Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Abdullahi Musa stated this at Three day retreat organized for management and staff of the institution in Kaduna.
A statement by Public Relations Officer of KASU Mr. Adamu Bargo quoted the Vice Chancellor saying excellence initiative top the agenda at the KASU to improve and impart knowledge to enable graduates of the school to perform creditably in their fields of endeavor.
Professor Abdullahi Musa emphasized that his vision for KASU is to be a leading institution of global repute as a result of the philosophy of excellence in research, teaching and community services.
He said the institution will collectively come up with Action Plan that will identify it’s agenda and priorities for subsequent planning to build confidence and trust among stakeholders.
The Vice-Chancellor explained that the retreat was divided into two sessions which are fot Strategic Planning ICT Adoption, Financial Management, Administration, Organizational Culture and Work Ethics.
