Chairman of the Kaduna State Council of Chief and Emir of Zazzau MAL Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli has stressed the need for stakeholders in the education sector to intensify efforts towards minimizing the rate of out-of-school children.
The Emir stated this while receiving Young Ambassadors Against Drugs Abuse IInitiative YAADI exco during a courtesy visit at his palace in Zaria.
Mal Ahmed Nuhu bamalli explained that the increasing rate of out-of-school children across the country was alarming and worrisome.
He maintained that the Non-Governmental Organizations NGOs, parents, and community leaders must put their heads together to save the lives of these children who would be leaders of tomorrow.
The Emir therefore granted permission to take the Executives of YAADI around the palace to witness the historical facilities and modernization of the palace such as reas like ALU Dan sidi museum, documentary center,c, and the clinic as well as historical Takon Giwa apartment among others.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer, Young Ambassadors Against Drugs Abuse Initiative YAADI and speaker street children Parliament Saifulahi Khalil expressed satisfaction over the level of support and commitment of the Emir to improving the living standard of venerable people.
Saifulahi khalil pointed out that according to united Nation Education and Scientific Research indicated that over twenty million children were out of school in Nigeria.
The speaker, Street Children Parliament added that about two hundred and fifty venerable children have been mentored and enrolled back to school through partnership with Universal Basic education.
He stressed the need for more efforts to rescue the lives of African children to become useful across the region.
Saifullah said most of their project was in line with the objectives and program of the United Nations on the protection of children’s Rights across the globe.
Alhaji Bamalli was Honoured with the position of life patron of the young Ambassador Against Drugs Abuse Initiative.
