Nigerlites Urged to Extend Hand of Fellowship to Security Agencies – Gov. Bello

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has appreciated the positive role being played by conventional and non-conventional security agencies in the fight against insurgency in parts of the state.

Addressing Journalists in Minna on the Security update in the state the Governor assured that such efforts would be sustained to ensure bandits are flushed out of the state completely.

The Governor who spoke through the Commissioner for Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs, Mr Emmanuel Umar observed that there is a relative peace in the state presently despite some pocket of threats and attacks in three local government councils by bandits.

According to him “In as much as we have recorded successes, we are also aware that threats still exist. Of recent, we are beginning to see attacks on the fridges of Mashegu, Mariga and Kontagora local government councils.”

Governor Sani Bello while commending traditional rulers Nigerlites and the media for fair reportage, directed all security agencies in the state to come out in full force as a matter of urgency to flush out the bandits to enable people of the state enjoy Christmas and New year in peace and.

While sympathizing with the families of security personnels who lost their lives in the fight against banditry stressed that their sacrifices will not go in vain.

Alh Abubakar Sani Bello also enjoined Nigerlites to extend hands of love to the security personnels in their environment in appreciation of their efforts so far: “even if it is a cup of water”or fire wood.
