NSCDC Asks to Sustain Synergy With Sister Security Agency – Commandant General

Officers and men of the Niger state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC have asked to sustain the cordial relationship existing between them and other paramilitary agencies to achieve maximum result.

Commandant General Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi stated this at the passing out parade of two hundred and seventy NSCDC personnel trained on weapons handling and launch of special female guards in Minna.

Represented by Bello Alkali Argungu the Commandant General Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps said he was impressed with the performance of personnel that were trained on weapons handling stressing that training and retraining remain an integral part of their existence.

Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi also thanked the Niger state government the tremendous support extended to security agencies in general and Civil Defence Corps in particular and called for more to succeed.

Reviewing the parade Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello represented by the Commissioner of Education hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu the Governor gave an an assurance of his administration readiness to continue to provide security agencies will all necessary support needed to discharge their duties deligently.

Commandant Niger state Command of the NSCDC Malam Ahmed Mohammed Dandare identified inadequate funds as some of the factors militating against smooth operations of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to move forward.

Malam Ahmed Mohammed Dandare further explained that the launch of the female squad and according priority to training and retraining of it’s men is in line with directive of Commandant General of NSCDC  aimed at promoting and enhancing professionalism in service.

In opening remarks Head of Training Department and Deputy Commandant Corps Samson Friday said with the training they can now comfortably handle weapons and that the special female squad will be be posted to educational sector to protect lives and properties in addition to performing other function.

Goodwill messages were presented while the female squad have demonstrated various training and skills such as rescue of kidnapped students  and Urban patrol.
