7,000 youths across the country have benefitted from the Batch C Stream 2 of the N-knowledge programme under the Federal Government Intervention Scheme.

Speaking at the closing ceremony in Abuja, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Hajiya Sadiya Umar-Farouq explained that the training was designed to build beneficiaries competence and capacity in highly demanding technical and vocational skills in the: N-Tech Software and N-Tech Hardware programmes.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Dr Nasir Gwarzo, the Minister explained that the feat is a clear demonstration of the present administration’s commitment to address youth unemployment.

“It is worthy to note that, the Federal Government has made an investment in each of these trainees in the above listed trades by acquiring and providing for each of them, the required Tool Kits to enable them become and operate as skilled professional technicians. The Federal Government has also approved N10,000 monthly stipends for nine months”.

Two beneficiaries of the Programme, Ogenyi Isaac and Khadija Yunus thanked the Federal Government for the privilege given to them and encouraged other Youths to take advantages of similar opportunities available.
