Kano State : NDE Empowers Youths, Women With Agricultural Skills

National Directorate of Employment NDE has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that youths and women were being trained and empowered geared towards becoming self-reliant and employers of labor.

The Director General of the Agency Malam Nuhu Fiko stated this during the orientation and flag-off of the empowerment training of youths and women held in Kano.

Represented by Mr. Idene Faskal , he said the empowerment program was aimed at curtailing the menace of unemployment and providing more job opportunities to the teeming youths and women.

He said the forty seven Beneficiaries were trained in various skills, which include agricultural empowerment scheme, graduate agricultural empowerment scheme, community-based scheme, and sustainable agricultural development empowerment.

“my advice is to the beneficiaries who are receiving hundred thousand each as a loan to start up the trait they’ve been trained on to use it judiciously “

In a remark, Kano State Coordinator of the NDE , Malam Inuwa Abdullahi Adamu said the beneficiaries have been trained extensively on various traits and skills.

He urged the beneficiaries to ensure that they use the golden opportunity so that they become employers of labour.

“I want to assure you that NDE will continue to monitor how you will utilize the loan given to you, and by GOD grace you will all succeed in your various skills and traits”

Abubakar Abdulrahman and Anas Halilu who were among the beneficiaries of the program, commended the federal government for initiating the empowerment scheme and assured of their commitment to the proper utilization of the loan.
