Terrorists have killed four policemen and three others at a weekly market in Yar Bulutu village of Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state.
Confirming the attack, Spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Command, in Sokoto state DSP Abubakar Sanusi said the four mobile policemen lost their lives while trying to repel terrorists attack but were overpowered by the bandits.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Sokoto Muhammad Nasir further gathered that the terrorists attacked the market at about 12:30pm yesterday.
When contacted, the member representing Sabon Birni South at the state House of Assembly, Sa’idu Ibrahim explained that the terrorists launched the attack using twenty motorcycles.
The terrorists set ablaze a police vehicle and dragged one of the policeman’s body into the burning vehicle.
However, no there was no confirmation on whether the bandits Kidnapped
people in the local market or property destroyed.
