Federal Government College Jos ,Old Student’s Association has reassured to provide infrastructural support to augment what Federal Government is doing at the school.

The President of the Association Dr Onyekachi Onubogu stated this during thier 16th National Annual convention held in Enugu.

Dr Onyekachi Onubogu said that the Executives of the association will be working with various stakeholders to achieve this and other proposed ongoing projects that are important to the proper functioning of the school.

He also explained that they are planning a HYGEIA medical scheme effective January twenty twenty three that will provide medical cover to old students at a significantly discounted rate.

Dr Onyekachi Onubogu said a platform that allows engagement of older more established school members, with younger members who needs mentorship will be created.

‘the aim is to encourage participation by all in the spirit of unity and we will provide avenues of sharing information for the development of the school’,he narrated.

The National President reiterated that Federal Government College Jos will be 50 next year and the Executives of the old students will be working with the school to unveil series of activities to mark this milestone.

He pleaded with every one of the old students of the school to get involved in augmenting the school drive in making lives easier for the students.

‘I ask that in our plenty we never forget that we are because God has been kind to us, and we owe a responsibility to God and mankind to do everything possible to make the life of our neighbours and in particular FGC better’,he said.

In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the Publicity Secretary of the Association Mr Joe onuche of Radio Nigeria Kaduna expressed delight on the turn up of the old students at the Convention while promising to circulate prompt and important messages to them as at when due.

Mr Joe onuche reiterated that there was no better way to do it than giving back to the school, helping one another and teaching discipline aimed at promoting national unity.
