Dakum Visits Maikatako Community in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State

Plateau State Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party Dr. Patrick Dakum, has condemned the cruel attacks in Maikatako and Folloh villages in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Dr Dakum expressed worry over the unfortunate incidence when he visited the two communities affected and commiserated with them over the attacked which took away lives, properties, food and houses destroyed.

Dakum who was at Folloh and Maikato communities to mourn with the natives prayed for comfort, and asked them to look up to God as their only hope.

He said the unfortunate incident, did not only affect the people of bokkos but the entire State and called on security agencies to step up on security.

Over twenty houses were burnt during unfortunate incident, about thirteen person’s lost their lives and many injured in both communities and are receiving treatment in different hospitals.

While appreciating the Labour Party Governorship candidate, Bala mafulul one of the victim of the attack who responded on behalf of the residents thanked them for the visit and show of love, where he called on the government to come to their aid by way of sending them security.

He prayed for God to grant them wisdom.

Earlier, Dakum was at the palace of the acting paramount ruler of Bokkos, HRH Saf Lawrence Ayizat to pay a condolence visit and to give him a message of comfort and peace.

Speaking on behalf of the paramount ruler who was unavoidably absent, Raymond Nder appreciated Dakum for the visit, said they are comforted by the visit, stressing that they should not be forgotten, but always put them in prayers.

The Labour Party Governorship Candidate, who was in company of his running mate, Edward Pwajok, later visited the People’s Democratic party candidate Caleb Mutfwang, to condole him over the demise of his mother stating that she was a mother to all.
