Nigerlites Urged to Collect Unclaimed PVC’S Lying at Local Govt Councils

 

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Niger state has assured Nigerlites of it’s resolve to pursue the twenty twenty  three general elections with due deligence and sense of responsibility to ensure free fair and credible electiion.

Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge of Niger state Alh Yusha’u Ahmad Garki gave the assurance at his inaugural stakeholders meeting in Minna.

Alh Yusha’u Ahmad Garki said to achieve this mandate the commission at National level has worked on several areas to further improve the electoral process for better service delivery to the electorates which he said have already started yielding results.

He also reminded Nigerlites that the National display of preliminary register of voters is currently ongoing to allow for claims and objections as well as appealed to them to come out enmasse for the exercise to enhance it’s success. 

On the many unclaimed Permanent Voters Cards PVC’S lying at Local Government Area Offices Alh Yusha’u Ahmad Garki implored Journalists Traditional rulers and stakeholders to sensitise voters on the need to collect their cards to exercise their franchise through electing credible leaders of their choice.

Head Of Department Operations Mr Moh Babatunde Yusuf said the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Niger state is to relocate some Registration Area Centres affected by insecurity and flood in some affected local government councils before the twenty twenty three general elections.

In his remarks INEC Administrative Secretary Malam Yakubu Duku who assured of their readiness to conduct credible electiion would want staff of the commission to accord new Resident Electoral Commissioner the same type of support given to his predicessor to succeed in their assignments.
