KWSG Urges LG On Revenue Generation, Food Security

Kwara State Government has urged local Government officials to chart a new course in revenue generation and food production in their various localities.

The State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Lafia Aliyu Kora-Sabi stated this in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of the state , during a two day seminar tagged, “Towards Government Revenue Enhancement, Poverty Alleviation and Food Security”.

According to him since local council is the closest tier of government there is the need for a well structured administration that will help in bringing all-round development to the grassroots.

Kora-Sabi advised all local government officials at the seminar to use the programming to improve their agric business in their various local governments.

He noted that the present administration will continue to develop the local government with available resources.

Earlier in his address , the Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) Chairman of Irepodun Local Government area of Kwara state, Jide Oyinloye, who spoke on behalf of other fifteen council Chairmen, said that the seminar will go a long way in ameliorating the challenges affecting the smooth administration of Local Government Council in the state.
