The Chairman of the National Population Commission Alhaji Nasir Isa Kwarra says results of the national census would be released up to the census entities with the aim of achieving the objectives of the program.
Alhaji Naisr Isa Kwarra gave the indication during the opening ceremony of the state level workshop on compendium of localities for 2023 population and housing census for local government chairmen and other stakeholder, held in Kano.
Alhaji Nasir Isa Kwarra represented by the Federal Commissioner National Population Commission Dr Isma’il Lawan Suleiman , said the objectives of the workshop was to compile all the localities demarcated during the EAD on local government areas.
In his remarks , Kano state director of the NPC Malam Isma’il Alhassan Dogo said the exercise started in 2005 in preparation of the exercise.
He maintained that the essence of the event was to present the list of localities, and called on local government chairmen to liaise with local government controllers for the success of exercise.
Earlier in a message, the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alhaji Lamin Sani Zawiyya said the ministry will accord all the necessary support to ensure successful conduct of the exercise.
The workshop was attended by local government chairmen, and other stakeholders.
