2023: Northern Electorate Will Do More For Tinubu Than Abiola In 1993

Former Minister of Communication and stunch supporter of Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket, Adebayo Shittu has observed that more votes will be casted for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu than to MKO Abiola in the 1993 election.

Shittu made the observation shortly after paying visit to the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli at his palace in Zaria.

He said the increasing support and loyalty witnessed across states in Northern Nigeria indicated great success and overwhelming victory to the Bola Tinubu, Shettima candidacy.

The former Minister stated that the coalition had the support of more than one thousand groups and was on a courtesy visit to Emirs and Chiefs to seek royal blessings for the victory of the APC presidential candidate.

He pointed out that the unflinching support of the northern Governors was taken into cognisance without which the Tinubu/Shettima may not have been a reality.

Adebayo Shittu reminded northerners “that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s candidature was not only for the unity, overall development, peace sustenance and economic vibrancy of the country but also for the north to thrive.

“I want to reassure the north that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not only committed to bringing about unity, peace, stability, progress and development to the nation but it is also for the stability of the north as a whole.

And i want assure them that Tinubu will continue to be appreciative of the sustained support accorded him all over the north.

The former Minister lauded the Emir of Zazzau for his support through prayers to ensure only the best emerged comes 2023 general election.

Responding, the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli while thanking the coalition for the visit enjoined them to avoid unguided utterances during their campaigns and urged them to always preach the gospel of playing the game according to the rule.

Ahmed Bamalli who prayed for the best to emerge in the forthcoming election, however, urged the electorate to vote wisely on the right candidate of their choice.
