National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kano office has embarked on sensitizing the public on political education in Kano.

The State Director NOA Kano Alhaji Lawal Haruna made the indication while briefing newsmen.

According to him , voter education is paramount, as the political climate is set, which would go a long wait in enlightening the public on government policies, activities and to display their national loyalty by voting wisely.

Alhaji Lawal noted that, the campaign would commence from the grassroots across the 44 local government areas, before cascading to the media.

The state director pointed out that, National orientation agency officials, were educated by INEC on rules and regulations guiding the electoral process, to achieve the desired objectives.

He stressed that, reports indicated that large number of people, were yet to collect their permanent voters card as INEC would be using electronic machine to identify voters card,finger prints,face recognition and collation of results.

“The problem we have now is that many PVCs are yet to be collected”

Alhaji Lawal further explained that, there was need to educate people to desist from using inciting words while campaigning to avoid conflicts and advocate against vote buying.

” Election is approaching and is one of the activities right from the federal government down to local areas”

He added that, Information Education Communication (IEC) will be localized to enable people understand perception on election.
