A 45 year-old man, Habibu Mu’azu lost his life in a well at Yan Dutse in Bichi local government area Kano.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.
According to him, the agency received an emergency call at about 07:44 a.m from Sunusi Abubakar that a man had accidentally fell into a well and all efforts to retrieve him proved abortive.
The public relations officer said, the rescue team immediately swung into action, and succeeded in rescuing him unconscious and later confirmed dead by health officials.
Saminu Yusif noted that, the remains of the deceased has been handed over to Village head of Yan Dutse, Alhaji Bello Usman.
