Zamfara state government has approved the immediate reopening of Gummi, Anka and Bukkuyum local governments areas respectively which were closed down last week.

The State Commissioner for Information Ibrahim Magaji Dosara made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.

It also stated that, all the towns, roads and markets recently closed by the government due to heightened insecurity in some parts of the state were also opened.

The approval followed the satisfactory reports received on security situation in the affected communities.

In view of the above, government has lifted the embargo it enforced on political activities in the state, adding that, people are advised to conduct themselves in accordance with the rule of law.

According to the statement, government will not compromise its constitutional responsibilities to the people of the state and reassures of its commitment and determination to protect lives and property of the citizens.
