Niger Police Command Decorates Six Senior Officers

The Inspector General of Police Usman Baba Alkali has been commended for recognising the commitment of officers and men of Nigeria police through prompt promotion and enhanced welfare package.

Commissioner of Police in charge of Niger State Mr Ogundele Ayodeji made the commendation while decorating six newly promoted personnel of the command with their new ranks in Minna.

Mr Ogundele Ayodeji explained that personnel from several divisions of the command, were promoted based on their commitments to their duties in the state.

According to him the recognition of these officers by the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali would no doubt spur them to do more in effective policing of nooks and cranies of Niger state and Nigeria.

The Commissioner of police in charge of Niger state however gave an assurance that officers of the command will continue to safeguard lives and properties of Nigerlites to achieve the desired objective.

Congratulating the officers during the  decoration ceremony Mr Ayodeji charged them to justify their elevation to the next rank with good performance and professionalism through effective service delivery.

The commissioner would also wants Nigerlites to volunteer reliable information that could aid the personnel  in apprehending men of the underworld.

He said that already the command has set in motion new security strategy that would enable  residents move on with their legitimate business without fear of intimidation or harassment by any person.

Of the six promoted officers three of them were promoted from the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police to Deputy Commssioners of police.
