Armed men suspected to be kidnappers have stormed Abdulsalam Abubakar General Hospital Hospital, Gulu in Lapai local government council of Niger state allegedly killing two persons and abducted several others including the hospital Doctor and Pharmacist.
Sources who pleaded anonymity told Radio Nigeria that the incident occoured today around two oclock in the morning where the bandits raided the hospital at Gulu. and started shooting sporadically to scare the villagers.
According to him, they came in their numbers shooting sporadically to scare the villagers while carrying out their operations without resistance from the security agents or vigilantees.
He however explained that one of the victims that was killed resides opposite the hospital was a retired medical personnel simply identified as Ya- Tachi
This is the fourth time kidnappers are attacking different communities within the area thereby hightened tension among people living in the area.
They called for immediate support from Niger state government security agencies and Vigilante members to address the problem before it was allowed to degenerate.
When contacted on telephone Police Public Relations Officer Niger state command DSP Wasiu Abiodun said he will investigate the matter and that he should be given more time to critically study the issue for necessary action.
