Zamfara: Fourteen Serving Members, Ten New Returned Elected as APC Candidates for 2023 General Elections

The Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Muázu Magarya (Jarman Moriki, Chi Garin Boko), Thirteen (13) serving Members along with Ten (10) others have been returned elected from the Twenty-Four (24) State House of Assembly Constituencies as APC Candidates for the 2023 general elections through the just concluded Party Primary electio in the state..

This is contained in a statement signed by Nasiru Biya Buki the DG Media and Public relations of the state house of assembly issued to newsmen in Gusau.
According to the statement,Hon. Magarya who stands unopposed scored all the fifty-five (55) votes casted by the delegates from Boko, Kanwa, Dole Moriki, Galadima Yan Ruwa and Yanbuki-Dutsi Wards of Zurmi West Constituency.

Announcing the result, the chairman of the electoral/planning committee, Hon. Mansur Khalifa (Wazirin Birnin Magaji) expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the delegates and party supports in the area. He called on all the APC Candidates and other stakeholders to work towards the victory of the party in the coming 2023 general elections.

Delivering his address, the Speaker, Hon. Nasiru Muázu Magarya thanks the leadership of the party at the state and local government levels for what he called as the display of democratic ideals and use of the party guiding principles throughout the exercise. The level of maturity exhibited by INEC officials who supervised the election and all the stakeholders involved is commendable, he added.

He expressed their determined resolve to continue to work with heart and might in order to justify the confidence reposed in them by the good people of the state, according to him the cordial working relationship between the legislature and executive arms in the state will continue to yield a fruitful result of ensuring a real dividend of democracy.

Magarya who called on the general public to support the present administration of Governor Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) in its efforts to bring the much needed development across the state, further described the recent reconciliation by the political gladiators as a catalyst for having a political sanity there by improving the security situation in the state. He prayed Allah to guide them in stirring the affairs of the state.

The other Thirteen serving members that have the APC ticket for the second time are Hon. Musa Bawa Musa Yankuzo Tsafe East, Hon. Faruku Musa Dosara Maradun I, Hon. Zaharaddeen M. Sada Kaura Namoda North, Hon. Nasiru Bello Lawal Bugudu West, Hon. Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma Maru North, Hon. Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau Maru South, Hon. Nasiru Atiku Gora Maradun II, Hon. Nura Dahiru Birnin Magaji, Hon. Abdul Nasir Ibrahim Gummi II, Hon. Shamsudden Hassan Mafara North, Hon. Ibrahim T. Tukur Bakura, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Bukkuyum North and Hon. Sani Dahiru Bukkuyum South Constituencies.

Hon Aliyu Ango Kagara of Mafara South, Hon. Aminu Abubakar Danjibga of Tsafe West and Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Kwatar Kwashi of Bungudu East Constituencies who were also returned elected served as Members of the State Assembly from 2011 to 2019 and Hon. Mannir Gidan Jaja of Zurmi East served from 2015 to 2019 while Mal. Muhammad Nasiru Anka, Mal. Aminu Usman Kasuwar Daji Kaura Namoda South, Mal. Usman Mamuda Shinkafi, Mal. Bashir Sani Gummi I, Mal. Aminu Jelani Gusau I and Mal. Dalhatu Magami Gusau II constituencies are coming for the first time if become victorious in the 2023 general elections.
