SDGs : FG Presents 500 Beds, Others To Kwara PHCs

The Federal government, through the office of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has distributed about 500 hospital beds and other medical items to 158 primary healthcare centres in Kwara state to promote quality healthcare services delivery.

Speaking with journalists during the distribution of the items in Ilorin, the Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Hajiya Nusirat Elelu, thanked the federal government for the intervention.

She said that the intervention will support commitment of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in the state’s health care sector.

Hajiya Elelu said the state now have at least one functional health facility in 158 wards out of the 193 wards in the state.

She explained that the outstanding 37 wards will be accredited to
benefit from the state basic health care provision fund within the next quarter.

Hajiya Elelu expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for finding Kwara state worthy of the number of items presented.

In her remark , the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to Kwara state governor, Dr. Jemilat Bio, said the items will be used judiciously to improve health care services in the state.
