President Muhammadu Buhari has charged security agencies to remain resolute and steadfast in securing the Nation.

President Buhari stated this during the 58th anniversary of the Nigerian Airforce held at 403 Flying Training School Kano.

He said his administration has invested huge resources in repositioning and reprofessionalizing the Nigerian Armed forces to ensure that the Nigerian airspace was being managed appropriately.

President Muhammadu Buhari noted that the Nigerian airforce was able to meet its constitutional responsibilities, thereby justifying government’s enormous support in the last seven years

“The provision of modern equipment and personnel motivation through enhanced welfare are ongoing”

He said his administration had acquired new air platforms for the Nigerian airforce which includes JF17 Thunder multi role fighter aircraft , the A29 super Tukano Aircraft , M I 35M among others.

The President maintained that the huge investment mounted on the Nigerian airforce have tremendously helped in turning the tide against terrorist and other security challenges in the country.

The Commander in chief explained that his administration has approved the procurement of more air platforms for the Nigerian Airforce, geared towards enabling the Nigerian Airforce to man the Nigerian Air space more effectively.

“We are willing to do more to ensure the provision of the requisite support and encouragement overcome various security Challenges “

The President commended the minister of defense, service chiefs and leadership of all security outfits in the country for their tireless efforts in ensuring security of lives and property.

During the ceremony, the Nigerian airforce conducted aerial display with act of professionalism and dedication, with all the service chiefs and other head of security agencies gracing the occasion.
