About one hundred and eighty clubs, associations and professional bodies have presented a cheque of fifty million naira to Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum to purchase his expression of interest and nomination form under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).

Presenting the cheque of fifty million naira to the Governor at Government House Maiduguri, spokesperson of the coalition, Alhaji Awaji Bukar, said their members donated a low as one thousand naira to actialise the re-election bid of Governor Zulum.

Alhaji Bukar explained that the donations came from many registered members of over 179 clubs, associations and professional bodies across the state.

According to him, the Zulum administration has in three years recorded more than six hundred capital projects and initiated far reaching policies and programmes including resettlement and reconstruction of more than ten thousand housing units.

In a response, Governor Babagana Zulum expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by the groups, noting that he was particularly impressed with those who gave out one thousand naira from their meagre resources. 

The Governor assured the groups that his administration, if elected for the second term, would construct more infrastructures and invest far more in commerce, vocational education, job, and wealth creation among others.

Prof Zulum also noted that with the increased stability across the state, the enormous amount spent on providing livelihood to the vulnerable would be channeled to provision of developmental projects.

State Chairman of APC, Ali Dalori commended the groups for their sacrifices and identifying with the APC in Borno State.
