Jigawa Inaugurate Committee On State Owned Schools

Jigawa State Government has inaugurated a 14 member committee for taking over and commencement of academic activities at Dutse Mega school and Santami International school, Garki.

Inaugurating the Committee, the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Dr Lawan Yunusa Danzomo said the state government established the schools with the aim of producing a qualitative students that will compete with any other state in the federation in terms of qualitative education.

He said, the committee was charged with the responsibilities of defining the type of school to operate, category of the students to be admitted and criteria of admission among others.

The committee is headed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Hajiya Safiya Muhammad, Dr Abbas Abubakar  Abbas co-chairman, while Kamilu Ibrahim will serve as secretary.

In his remarks, the Co-Chairman, Dr Abbas Abubakar Abbas thanked the state government for finding them worthy to serve in the committee. 

He also promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.

The committee has four weeks to submit its report.
