Jigawa Verifies 8000 Pensioners In Seventeen LGAs

The Jigawa State Pension Board says it has verified pensioners from Babura local government area of the state.

The Director Administration and Finance of the state and local governments contributory pension scheme, Alhaji Muhammad Mahmoud Dawaki disclosed this to Radio Nigeria shortly after inspecting the exercise in Babura local government secretariat.

According to him, over 8,000 pensioners were verified at the ongoing verification exercise across the state.

Alhaji Muhammad Mahmoud Dawaki said the board had verified over 8,000 thousand state, local government and local education pensioners in seventeen local government areas of the state.

The Director added that, the verified pensioners were from Birnin Kudu, Buji, Gwaram , Miga, Jahun and Kafin Hausa.

He said others also include Guri, Kirikasamma, Birniwa, Hadejia, Mallam Madori, Gagarawa, Gumel, Maigatari and Babura local government areas.

Mahmoud Dawaki therefore commended the pensioners and officials of the board for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
