The Adamawa state police command says, it has successfully arrested three suspects over their alleged involvement in the raping of two minors in the state.
The command Public Relations Officer, DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje confirmed the arrest while speaking to Radio Nigeria kaduna in Yola.
He explained that, the suspects carried out the heinous crime in Guyuk LGA of state, when the victims were on their way back home from church service.
According to Nguroje, all the suspects have confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court after completing the investigation.
Similarly, the command also arrested one Yahaya Tijja of Bakin kogi of Yola town for defiling a minor of 8 years.
He stressed that, inspite of sensitisation and advocacy by government and non governmental organization on gender based violence (GVB), the menance has been on the increase.
The DSP strongly adviced parents to always monitor the movement and activities of their children.
